For the past 20 years, Comptoir du Cacao has been making pure origin fine chocolates, pure cocoa butter, in the tradition of the artisanal know-how of French master chocolate makers. The production and packaging are carried out in the heart of the Gâtinais region where the chocolate factory is located. The quality choice of raw materials, the simplicity of the products guided by the excellence of the taste and the authenticity of the concept are the basis of our identity.
Comptoir du Cacao is a recognised player in the chocolate market. The quality choice of raw materials combined with a unique artisanal know-how make the gustatory excellence of these chocolate sweets and bars. Their gourmet creations, and in particular the range of hazelnut and salted butter caramel puff pastry pralines, won them two prizes at the Salon du Chocolat in Paris, in 2003 and 2006 respectively. The salted butter caramel puff pastry also won a prize at the Great Taste Awards in London and the blond pecan praline won a medal at the 2019 International Chocolate Awards.
Our raw materials come almost exclusively from France: crêpe dentelle from Brittany, salted butter caramel from Isigny, candied fruits from Clermont-Ferrand, fruit jellies from Oraison, biscuits from Brittany, dried fruits from the south of France, "Petit Beurre" from Nantes, nougatine from Calais, nougat from Montélimar, etc... Our packaging, whose visual, ecological, recyclable and uncluttered aspects we favour in order to enhance the product before the packaging, is all produced in France: Sologne and Vosges for the wood. Burgundy and Brittany for the cardboard.
