Château Clinet is located in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, 40 km around the city of Bordeaux. Placed on the best plots of the famous Graves de Günz terrace, terroir of the largest Merlots in the world, it is one of the most prestigious areas of the appellation. In the 1860s, the estate belonged to the Constant family, then to the Arnaud family, which also owned the Château Pétrus. In the 20th century, the property long belonged to the Audy family. The arrival of Jean-Michel Arcaute, the owner's son-in-law, at the head of the Château in the 1980s, marked a real turning point. He established revolutionary methods in the management of the vineyard and increased the fame of clinet all over the world, also supported by michel rolland. In 1998, Jean-Louis Laborde bought the Château. He then devotes his energy and his foresight to continue the evolution instilled by the previous master. Since 2003, his son, Ronan, has managed the estate.
